This new production of Shakespeare's greatest play, Hamlet marks the exciting pairing of two major institutions of British Theatre: Trevor Nunn and The Old Vic theatre. Trevor Nunn's achievements are famous the world over, from Les Miserables to running the National Theatre, he has brought some of the best theatrical productions to the stage in a career spanning three decades. This will be Trevor’s first production of Hamlet, since his Royal Shakespeare Company production in 1970 and uniquely he is casting a younger company as he explains "Something extraordinary happens when the characters who are students in Shakespeare's story are being played by people of exactly student age."
