A Christmas Carol (16 November)

Is it really November if the Old Vic isn't staging its beloved annual production of A Christmas Carol? This timeless classic, adapted by Jack Thorne, returns to haunt and heartwarm us all once again. With its beautifully crafted performances and atmospheric sets, A Christmas Carol at the Old Vic has become as much a London Christmas tradition as mulled wine and mince pies. Expect goosebumps (the emotional kind) as Ebenezer Scrooge learns the true meaning of Christmas, with plenty of Victorian charm and supernatural chills along the way.

Recently, new behind-the-scenes production images have been released for A Christmas Carol at The Old Vic, where the cast can be seen exploring the Victorian setting of London in Thorne’s atmospheric adaptation of this household classic. The Old Vic Theatre's Artistic Director, Matthew Warchus, has provided an update on the off-West End venue's programming for the remainder of the year.

First-look photos have been released for A Christmas Carol at The Old Vic, now in rehearsals. The Matthew Warchus show opens for previews on 23 November and officially opens on 4 December.

Following the huge success of Jack Thorne’s adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Christmas classic, it was only right that it was announced to return once again for a limited run this festive period.
